Napa Sanitation District’s WateReuse Award

A design firm that works with counties and cities throughout California to help with the management and implementation of complex sewer systems and treatment facilities for wastewater, RMC Water and Environment has been named a Top 500 Design Firm by Engineering News-Record every year between 2007 and 2016.

It has recently worked with the Napa Sanitation District in the creation of the Recycled Water Expansion project that received the WateReuse award for Agricultural Project of the Year.

The annual award recognizes projects that have made noteworthy contributions to water recycling and desalination, which in the case of this project meant demonstrating how recycled water could help in energy conservation, providing the nutrients that crops need to grow, and supporting agricultural sustainability.

RMC Water and Environment supported the project through the design of 5 miles of pipeline running through Milliken, Sarco, and Tulocay. The pipes are used to distribute recycled water to a range of commercial and agricultural clients throughout the Napa Valley region.
